Great post about the intersection between physical and mental health.
As the title suggests, and as another article I have written suggests, health & wellbeing has always been something I have struggled with. I am constantly bombarded, as we all are, with images that focus on body positivity and body negativity and weight and tone and appearance. Furthermore I have messages from friends, relatives and constant reminders on my social media feed regarding the need for a summer body, i.e. a tanned, muscular, slim-line, non-cellulite, trimmed, smooth body fit for a nice stroll on a beach. On the flip side there is a constant, and I mean CONSTANT, stream of images, videos, memes and the like reminding us that to have a winter body, i.e. fat, lazy, chicken nugget eating, hairy, bulky, pale, bumpy body fit for nothing other than single life, Netflix-ing and chilling by yourself, is something that no one should EVER strive for.

Spoiler: the gay kid doesn’t die at the end
This is going to sound really strange, given how much I’ve loved a lot of this season of American Crime Story, but, with the season finale behind us, I think the last nine episodes have told a story that ended more a failure than a success.
If you can say one thing for Tomb Raider, at least Alicia Vikander got the worst performance of her career out of the way early.
This entire episode kicks into gear with a UTI, and it’s just less pleasant from there on out.
As brutal as it is brilliant, Lynne Ramsay’s latest is the best movie of the year so far.
Hmm.
With a run as good as the one this season of American Crime Story has been on, there’s always going to be an episode that doesn’t stick the way the rest of them do. And this week’s outing, Ascent, is precisely that.
A timely movie explores the cycles of violence that poison communities, and searches for a way out of them.
Better late than never- here’s my take on Marvel’s best movie in years!
