You know, if there’s one thing that Jericho does right (who am I kidding, there are so very many things), it’s horror.

Read the rest of this entry »Thank you so much for bearing with me during this short break – things have been enormously and unexpectedly busy the last couple of weeks, and, much as I love the chance to talk to you lovely people about this lovely show, I have mostly been lying face-down in piles of pillows and eating crisps by the multipack.
Remember when I said that I wasn’t going to talk much about my eating disorder recovery? What a gag. We’re back, bitches, and I want to talk to you recovery.
The ninth season of The X-Files is not just the show’s worst season, by a country mile – it is also one of the worst seasons of television I’ve ever watched. And I’ve watched some stinkers.
You know, I wasn’t sure how well this show was going to stand up.
Look, this is an article that’s been coming for a long time – since I started writing the OCDiaries series, about living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, I knew that I would eventually write something about the “I’m just SO OCD!” nonsense. There’s no way for me to put this out there without someone assuming that I’m trying to subtweet them in some passive-aggressive blogular fashion, but honestly, I’m not attempting to call out anyone in particular. If you think this is about you, it’s probably not – but you could probably do with it, anyway.
Update: check out all of my Jericho recaps here!
So, with the Lost recaps finally behind me, and lockdown still continuing, and a lack of anything better to do – it seemed only right that I choose a new TV recapping project. I honestly have really enjoyed having a weekly recap to watch and write for every week, even just for that little hint of normalcy and routine that has been forcibly ejected over the last few months, so something had to take Lost’s place.
Now, lockdown has sent us all down a few rabbitholes, I’m sure. My latest? Theme parks. Mysteries, histories, the whole nine yards – I have become an amateur theme park enthusiast without stepping out of my own home. God, the internet is a wonderful thing, isn’t it?
