The Cutprice Guignol

I still can’t believe I actually get to write this post. But here goes. This is pretty much the most exciting, terrifying, holy-shit-this-mix-of-emotions-is-going-to-make-me-burst-into-tears announcement I’ve ever made in my life, and so I’m just going to blurt this on to your lap before I spend another half-hour dancing around the house with excitement.

My debut novel is coming out later this year. This will be the first full-length novel I’ll release, and my first fiction publication under my real name, Louise MacGregor (as opposed to the romance I’ve published under my pen name, Kara Lowndes). The name of the book? Rape Jokes. Yeah, I know, that’s how everyone reacts, trust me. But it’s not what you think.

Rape Jokes is a romantic comedy about dealing with the aftermath of sexual assault, touching on issues like sexual dysfunction and love, sex, and trauma after rape. It’s coming out in hard copy and electronic form in Winter 2018. I can’t even begin to describe how thrilled I am to be bringing this book to you guys, and I can’t wait for you to read it.
